‍About ‍me

‍Hi ‍Everyone, ‍I’m ‍Kirstie ‍a ‍Level ‍3 ‍Personal ‍Trainer ‍and ‍Fitness ‍Instructor. ‍I’ve ‍always ‍been ‍passionate ‍about ‍health, ‍fitness ‍and ‍exercise ‍from ‍a ‍very ‍young ‍age. ‍I ‍ran ‍for ‍Kent ‍in ‍my ‍teens ‍and ‍played ‍hockey. ‍I ‍taught ‍fitness ‍classes ‍in ‍my ‍early ‍20’s ‍and ‍exercise ‍has ‍always ‍been ‍a ‍huge ‍part ‍of ‍my ‍life. ‍I ‍had ‍always ‍wanted ‍to ‍train ‍as ‍a ‍Personal ‍Trainer, ‍I ‍just ‍had ‍a ‍very ‍busy ‍retail ‍area ‍management ‍career ‍that ‍took ‍up ‍so ‍much ‍of ‍my ‍time.

‍Life ‍Changing

‍It ‍took ‍a ‍life ‍changing ‍experience ‍to ‍finally ‍prompt ‍me ‍to ‍take ‍the ‍plunge ‍and ‍follow ‍my ‍passion. ‍In ‍2015, ‍I ‍nearly ‍lost ‍my ‍life ‍having ‍my ‍2nd ‍child ‍and ‍had ‍suffered ‍2 ‍miscarriages ‍prior ‍to ‍conceiving, ‍all ‍affecting ‍my ‍physical ‍and ‍mental ‍health. ‍During ‍my ‍2nd ‍daughter’s ‍pregnancy ‍I ‍had ‍several ‍complications ‍making ‍me ‍a ‍high ‍risk ‍pregnancy ‍and ‍immediately ‍after ‍I ‍had ‍given ‍birth ‍to ‍her ‍I ‍lost ‍over ‍4 ‍litres ‍of ‍blood ‍resulting ‍in ‍me ‍needing ‍an ‍emergency ‍blood ‍transfusion. ‍I ‍had ‍to ‍have ‍a ‍major ‍operation ‍shortly ‍after ‍the ‍delivery ‍and ‍I ‍felt ‍weak ‍and ‍tired ‍for ‍months ‍after ‍the ‍birth ‍due ‍to ‍anaemia. ‍I ‍suffered ‍terrible ‍Post ‍Traumatic ‍Stress ‍from ‍the ‍birth ‍experience ‍and ‍depression ‍and ‍anxiety ‍for ‍several ‍months. ‍Exercise ‍was ‍my ‍happy ‍place, ‍I ‍started ‍slowly ‍and ‍gently ‍and ‍in ‍time ‍I ‍grew ‍stronger ‍and ‍stronger. ‍Mentally, ‍exercise ‍helped ‍my ‍body ‍and ‍my ‍mind, ‍it ‍was ‍my ‍therapy. ‍It ‍changed ‍my ‍mindset ‍and ‍helped ‍me ‍recover ‍mentally ‍and ‍physically. ‍I ‍completed ‍a ‍half ‍marathon ‍and ‍a ‍Tough ‍Mudder ‍in ‍2017 ‍and ‍felt ‍the ‍fittest ‍and ‍strongest ‍I ‍have ‍ever ‍felt. ‍I ‍firmly ‍believe ‍your ‍body ‍goes ‍where ‍the ‍mind ‍takes ‍you, ‍although ‍it ‍sounds ‍cliché. ‍I ‍believe ‍mental ‍health ‍is ‍just ‍as ‍important ‍as ‍physical ‍health.

‍Qualified ‍Personal ‍Trainer ‍and ‍Fitness ‍Instructor

‍After ‍fully ‍recovering ‍and ‍achieving ‍some ‍of ‍my ‍own ‍fitness ‍goals, ‍I ‍decided ‍in ‍2017 ‍to ‍go ‍for ‍it ‍and ‍study ‍and ‍train ‍to ‍be ‍a ‍Personal ‍Trainer. ‍At ‍the ‍end ‍of ‍the ‍day, ‍life’s ‍far ‍too ‍short ‍for ‍regrets!! ‍In ‍June ‍2018 ‍I ‍qualified ‍and ‍K ‍Fitness ‍was ‍born! ‍It ‍has ‍to ‍be ‍one ‍of ‍my ‍proudest ‍achievements ‍:) ‍I ‍want ‍to ‍help ‍and ‍show ‍others ‍how ‍health, ‍fitness ‍and ‍exercise ‍can ‍change ‍your ‍life ‍and ‍make ‍you ‍feel ‍amazing, ‍creating ‍the ‍best ‍version ‍of ‍yourself.

‍As ‍a ‍young ‍woman ‍I ‍was ‍an ‍extreme ‍dieter ‍and ‍suffered ‍body ‍confidence ‍issues. ‍I ‍want ‍to ‍help ‍you ‍be ‍fitter, ‍stronger, ‍body ‍confident, ‍gain ‍power ‍and ‍a ‍determined ‍mindset. ‍Client ‍satisfaction ‍is ‍my ‍number ‍one ‍priority.
